- Medical/dental history
First, we’ll gather some information from you. This includes your lifestyle, medical/dental history, and current medications. Please be as honest as possible with us. This information helps us tailor your treatment to optimize your oral health. Also, remember to bring your insurance card if applicable. - Dental exam
Our dentist will administer a complete dental exam, examining your teeth and gums for signs of gum disease, tooth decay, faulty dental work, etc. These exams are crucial for detecting dental issues at their earliest, most treatable stage. - Dental X-rays
We are thorough with our visual exams, but not every dental problem manifests on the surface. We’ll take dental X-rays to detect bone loss, developmental issues, impaction, interdental decay, cysts, and other hidden problems. We use the latest X-rays, which generate high-resolution images with minimal radiation exposure. - Treatment planning
We’ll review your findings and create a detailed, step-by-step treatment plan to restore optimal oral health. When no significant issues are present, the dentist will recommend a dental cleaning if it hasn’t been done in the last six months. Otherwise, you may need periodontal therapy, dental crowns, or fillings, etc., depending on the issues found. If you have any questions or concerns, we are happy to address them to ensure you are comfortable and well-informed. - Tailored education
When you come in for your first dental visit, education is a big part of the experience. We provide practical nutrition and oral hygiene tips to maintain your smile between visits.
